Visit Ukrainian Ruby Shift Conference, that will take place in Kiev on 21st of May, 2010!

Workshop

After all the speeches, there will be a Workshop sessions for speakers and conference participants. Registration is limited to 30 attendees. Workshop’s primary language will be English.

There’s no passive listeners in Workshops. Everyone’s involved into the action, getting the most out of it, and giving out real experience solving most interesting and non-trivial problems. All participants will united into teams, and will take part in development and mini-project Showreel.

Participation in the conference is 150 UAH and participation in the workshop is additional 325 UAH.

We are glad to provide a platform for the initiative groups that invite developers for knowledge and best practices sharing. This time we welcome the third Ruby and Rails BarcCamp on Saturday, March, the 20th at the kitchen of Bozhenko office from 12-00 till approximately 17-00.

Program of the camp is the following:

I. MongoDB by Vladislav Gorodetsky (Metaconomy, Dnepropetrovsk)

An overview of MongoDB - high-performance, schema-free, document-oriented database with real-world examples.

  • introduction and foundational items;
  • overview of the possibilities;
  • the frameworks;
  • Conclusion: where to go from here?
  • QA session.

II. Fast prototyping of applications. Inherited Resources, Has Scope and Responders + Formtastic by Roman Babenko (www.romanvbabenko.com)
