We are glad to provide a platform for the initiative groups that invite developers for knowledge and best practices sharing. This time we welcome the third Ruby and Rails BarcCamp on Saturday, March, the 20th at the kitchen of Bozhenko office from 12-00 till approximately 17-00.

Program of the camp is the following:

I. MongoDB by Vladislav Gorodetsky (Metaconomy, Dnepropetrovsk)

An overview of MongoDB - high-performance, schema-free, document-oriented database with real-world examples.

  • introduction and foundational items;
  • overview of the possibilities;
  • the frameworks;
  • Conclusion: where to go from here?
  • QA session.

II. Fast prototyping of applications. Inherited Resources, Has Scope and Responders + Formtastic by Roman Babenko (www.romanvbabenko.com)

  • RESTful controllers in one line (inherited_resources);
  • we build not HTML pages, but information resources (Responders);
  • the Filtration of the data in the controllers (has_scope);
  • intelligent plotters of forms. One form for all (Formtastic).

III. Mechanize by Dmitry Shaposhnik

  • mechanize for processing of sites;
  • use with nokogiri;
  • start by means of delayed_jobs, loops;
  • use of turn Rabbit MQ.

IV. Secrets of profitable startup on Ruby on Rails by Hussar Evgenie
